Elaine Bonner Speaks to Marketing Class at UD about how Social Media can be a force for good for Non-Profits

Lissa Cupp, MBA, Faculty Lecturer in the University of Dayton’s School of Business gives real life experience to her upper level marketing students. Their semester long course will concentrate on social media goals for area nonprofit organizations. The Brunner Literacy Center and Emerge were selected for the spring semester projects.

Emerge social media goals are to broaden the  impact and engagement to increase awareness for community outpatient programs, the need for monthly donations, and to create excitement and early registration targets for our annual Signature Event on October 19.

“There is a direct correlation with brand awareness and storytelling to motivate people to engage with non profit organizations. I’m excited to work with forty creative college students to get their ideas for compelling stories about the mission and work of Emerge,” shared Elaine Bonner, Director of Philanthropy.

In addition, the UD juniors and seniors will visit the Emerge campus to get a tour and a better understanding of the mission. “Creating awareness can be the first step in saving a life. What a great partnership to bring young people into the work of rebuilding lives and overcoming the stigma of those battling addictions,” Bonner concludes.
