Partnering with others brings lives to their full potential

Casey joined the Emerge team in January and we are grateful to have his passion and experiences to help further advance our mission.

Casey Steckling LSW, LCDCIII serves as the Continuing Education Manager. In his role he will engage the staff at Emerge and greater community with Evidence-Based Training.

He joined the Emerge team in January 2024. Prior to that, Casey worked in the helping professions for 11 years, working as a case manager, counselor, social worker, and administrative supervisor within substance use and mental health organizations.

Casey graduated from Sinclair Community College initially, followed by Indiana Wesleyan University with a bachelor’s degree in social work. Casey was the founder of a recovery community non-profit, participated in the original Mobilize Recovery Movement in Nevada, and has previously participated in the Mental Health and Recovery Board “Champion” training, as well as speaking out to thousands about the advantages of support individuals in recovery. Casey is now in the process of enrolling for master’s level education, followed by doctoral work in social psychology.

Casey is the proud father of three, husband, a person in long-term recovery since March of 2006, an ardent believer in Christ, and former international missionary and micro-business trainer in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Casey is a new homesteader and is teaching his children to do the same. He is also passionate about fitness and works out nearly every day.

One of his favorite quotes is from Jordan B. Peterson, “You’re not everything you could be, and you know it.” He looks forward to sharing his faith, advocating for people as they progress through their recovery, and partnering with others to bring lives to their full potential.
