“Why do I give to Emerge with a small weekly gift from my pay? Because I feel it’s the right thing to do. The vocational aspect has been such an integral part of my recovery journey that I feel compelled to give back to Emerge as this amazing organization continues to help others walk into recovery. Being able to work and use my own skill set as a writer played a pivotal role in me being able to turn over a new leaf and learn a new way to live. The Emerge community helped move me from reliance on some powerful drugs that were being over-prescribed, to a life of freedom from addiction. I feel a small weekly tithe to this organization is the least I can do.”
