Jacob Shelley, CDCA, serves as a Case Manager to coordinate and connect clients with resources and support in treatment and recovery. Jacob has been with Emerge since day one, putting in hundreds of hours of sweat equity to bring this aging facility back to life. Beginning. He started as the facility manager while building his credentials for his true passion – helping those in their recovery journeys.

Jake attended Clark State University to obtain his peer support specialist certification. He completed his CDCA at Sinclair Community College and is pursuing further degrees in mental health and recovery. Jacob also has a welding degree from Butler Tech Vocational.

In Jacob’s spare time, he enjoys fishing, hiking, exploring different restaurants and foods, community functions that support peers in recovery, and spending time with family.

“A life spent making mistakes is not only more honorable, but more useful than a life spent doing nothing.” Jacob is motivated and compelled by the mission of Emerge because his faith has led him through challenging times and brought him to discover his true purpose. His recovery journey will serve as a source of encouragement and strength to help the clients overcome any challenges they face. He is driven to help others and lives by the motto, “Be the change you wish to see in the world.”
