Aften Marshall, Clinical Support Specialist, supports the clinicians and the doctor as well as the present and future clients at Emerge. She joined the Emerge team on July 10, 2023. Prior to being with Emerge, she was a unit support specialist for three years at TCN Behavioral Health. Her duties included working with young people to ensure they felt welcomed and comfortable as they visited a therapist or psychiatrist.

Aften is married and has 3 sons and a “bonus” son, ages 22, 16, 14 & 13. In her spare time, she enjoys being outside swimming, boating, and camping in the summer and bowling and roller skating during the cold months. Aften believes that “Everything happens for a reason.” Her husband and children inspire her every day. They make her want to be a better person than she was the day before. Aften lost her baby brother, age 34, to a drug overdose in 2021. She entered the mental health and substance use field after having several conversations with her brother about his years of active addiction.

Aften does her best to make all the clients who come through the door feel welcome and included through compassion and love.
