TRADES TALK: “Gearing up for Automotive”
Exciting News!
Our partner, The Trades Institute, is launching our Automotive Technician Bootcamp next month in partnership with Pitt Stop Tire and Automotive. Their pilot cohort will include 5 students from Emerge.
This 300-hour program prepares students for careers as General Service, Brake, Steering & Suspension, or Maintenance & Light Repair Technicians. Training includes vehicle inspections, routine maintenance, alignments, and brake diagnostics.
Credentials Earned:
✅ Automotive Technical Skills
✅ Steering & Suspension Systems
✅ Brakes
Graduates will also be prepared for ASE certifications (G1, A4, A5) after two years of work experience.

Success at TTI!
When Cedric Sinkfield came to Emerge, he was looking to learn a trade and be a part of a community that would “support his personal growth and steps forward.” Over 6 months later, with a trade and a supportive community, Cedric is preparing to launch. The Trades Institute offers opportunity to learn the trade in the classroom, practice it in our custom-built labs and then experience it in the field with our ride along partners. SBIII Fire Suppression is just one of our plumbing ride-along partners.
Halfway into Cedric’s plumbing course, he was sent on a ride along with SBIII and has continued for the duration of his time at The Trades Institute. For both SBIII and Cedric, it has been a win. On September 3rd, The Trades Institute will celebrate its 7th graduating class. Cedric will be among the 7 students graduating from our plumbing bootcamp and will enter his career with SBIII. Cedric obtained a meaningful job and SBIII obtained an employee with the skills to succeed.
