Students get real world experience in the field of substance use treatment

The Emerge Recovery and Trade Initiative has welcomed students who are getting real world experience in the field of substance use treatment.

Currently, we have two associate level practicum students from Sinclair Community College. They began their practicum experience with Emerge in August, and the students have reported that they’re learning a lot and appreciate the time and opportunity.

One clinical intern from Walden University will begin a Master’s level internship with Emerge on Dec. 1. The internship is 24 hours per week and is scheduled to end March 12, 2024.

Additionally, we worked with Garrett Conti, Master’s level student at the University of Dayton. Garrett researched and wrote a grant proposal as part of a course in “Grant Writing” and worked with the Emerge team on a diversity project toward his Masters in Public Administration.
