Second Chances at Emerge:  Perspective by Cathy Aviles

I know how scary life can be after aging out of foster care into the real world.  Having been raised with my three siblings in a children’s home, I know how situations can cause lasting trauma.  For many it leads to homelessness, substance abuse, and even suicide.  I was thankful for support from our extended family, but many are not as fortunate.  Emerge can be that extended family for those coming out of foster care and substance abuse!  I am thankful for God’s hand on this ministry and excited to support Emerge.  I invite you to consider an investment that will bring hope to the hopeless.
